PUBLIC AUTHORITY FOR INDUSTRY HEADQUARTERS

Description:

The new headquarters for the Public Authority for Industry forms part of the Ministries Complex in South Surra.

The project provides accommodation for some 1,200 employees, offices for senior management and facilities for the public. Designed on a plot of 7,200m2, the total built-up area is 43,300m2, including three floors of basement car parking for staff.

The central atrium is a dramatic feature of the design within which panoramic elevators give access to all the upper floors.

The ground floor provides a public services center and a national product exhibition hall as well as conference, lecture theatre, cafeteria, license and registration facilities.

The upper floors each provide 4,000m2 of space and the fourth floor accommodates all the facilities for the Minister for industry and for the general manager, under-secretary and committee supervisors. Project was awarded to Dar Al Dowailah Engineering Consultants and Construction Managers following a design competition in which Al Dowailah won 1st Prize.
