OLYMPIC VILLAGE

Description:

The design competition for The Jabber Al Ahmed City Olympic Villiage was done in collaboration with POPULOUS. It was to house Kuwait’s Olympic stadium.

The area for the Villiage is 210,000 m2 and was to house all the Olympic games’ requirements.

This was a design project which required spatial innovation to accommodate all the Olympic games’ spatial needs and facility requirements. The design involved the interconnected master planning of the whole 210,000 m2, which resulted in multi-story sporting and gaming venues.

A distinguishable architectural language was used throughout the design of the village to give it its own identity and landmark stature.
